ANNUAL CHURCH RUMMAGE SALE -
2008

St. Matthew Church is planning
a church-wide rummage sale. The date is the same weekend as the Tomah city-wide
rummage sale. The site is on the grounds of River Park Suites, where two of our
members have their businesses -
State Farm Insurance and The Wellness Center. Basically we will take
anything except basic adult clothing (like pants, shoes and shirts) and
computers. Things that sell well, to name a few: Tools, bedding, towels, small
appliances, nail polish, hand lotion, dishware, household decorations, office
equipment, furniture, books.
Here are seven things to know about the
rummage sale:
1) The rummage sale
runs for ONE day - Saturday, May 3 from 7:00AM to 1:30PM.
2) Everything should be
marked, if possible, with masking tape - those little sticker thingies
that are made for rummage sale pricing fall off.
3) Children's clothing
will be sold by the bagful. (HELP! We could use some plastic shopping
bags!) Also, no need to mark the children's clothing.
4) Material for the
rummage sale may be dropped off on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd
at River Park Suites from 1:00PM to 5:00PM.
5) If you are unable to
drop your goods off for the rummage sale at the above times, we are
happy to say that we have secured the services of Acme Rummage Sale
Stuff Moving Company. If you have something that needs to be picked up,
call 378-3233 and ask for Phillip or Katherine Enderle and they will
come and pick up your stuff.
6) We could use some
workers for set-up (early Saturday morning at 6:00AM), during the event,
and take-down and clean-up crew at around 1:00PM. See the signup sheet
at church if you can help out.
7) Just to make things
easy, everything that is not sold will be dropped off at Goodwill after
the event ends on Saturday.
