As part of our VBS theme, we had two
special projects:
1) Locally, we
collected non-perishable food items for the Tomah Food Panty.
2) On a broader scope, we collected
offerings daily and at our church picnic to help the children in orphanages in India.
Our church body operates 12 orphanages and 2 Lutheran elementary schools
in India and supports 3 missionaries and 14 national pastors. With less
than 3% of the country being Christian, there is much work to do to tell
of the love of Jesus!
********************************
We collected and donated over 100 pounds of food for
the Tomah Food Pantry and raised $82.22 for our church's orphanages in
India. Thank you! Much of the offering came as change in plastic bags,
and several children said they brought all they had! What big hearts
little people have!
