"Where women savor time with God"
DATE: Saturday, January 16, 2010 Savor the sweet life!
On Saturday, January 16, 2010, fifteen women gathered in the Fellowship Hall for a day of laughter, relaxation, inspiration and growth at the Sweet Life Cafe. We were reminded that Jesus, the Bread of Life, fills us up and refreshes us when we have nothing left to give. He nourishes us in many ways, and so much better than the "junk food" of our lives, like too many possessions, too many activities.
Our loving God gives us relationships with others as well, so that we can help carry each other's burdens and refresh each other. One of our activities was to put together cinnamon pancake mixes to share with others.
Women attending the retreat came away with coffee mugs, CDs, tote bags, Scripture chars and much more - they strengthened bonds with each other and with our Lord, and refreshed bodies and souls. You won't want to miss it next year!
