CONFIRMATION

Confirmation is a special time for us at St. Matthew.  The significance of confirmation really begins at our Baptism.  In Baptism through simple water and God's Word the Holy Spirit creates faith and makes us his own.  Confirmation is when  the young people of our church publicly "confirm" or "testify to" the covenant God made with them at  Baptism.  It's a special time for the young person, as well as for the child's family.  To commemorate the event, a special service is held at church; the confirmands pledges faithfulness to God; and a special memory verse from the Bible is picked out by the confirmands to commemorate the day.

every Sunday at 10:30AM for 8th graders
