HISTORY     2004 - present

A new chapter for St. Matthew Church began in 2004. At that time worship attendance was about 10-15 per Sunday. The congregation remained vacant for over a year and a half and was served by Phillip Enderle, who was currently serving as pastor of a nearby WELS church. During the vacancy, weekly church attendance began to grow.

In January of 2006, a call was issued to Phillip Enderle to serve as the 16th resident pastor of St. Matthew. He accepted in March, and preached his first sermon as full-time pastor of St. Matthew on May 1, 2006.

Phillip Enderle's passion for the church is highly contagious. Under his direction, guidance and enthusiasm, the church is experiencing dramatic growth. Weekly worship attendance is now 150 per Sunday.

In January of 2007, the congregation began formal plans for a new facility. To view the progress of the new church, click HERE.

On May 17, 2009, St. Matthew held the final worship service in the old church. For more information, click HERE.

About Our Pastor:

Prior to serving St. Matthew, Phillip Enderle served congregations in Tomah, Milwaukee, and Huntsville, Alabama. While in Milwaukee, he also served as campus pastor for UW-Milwaukee. In 1993, he was blessed in life with a wonderful wife, Katherine. They have four wonderful children: Jonathan, Anna, Michael and Sarah. Phillip's interests include reading and current events, as well as spending time with family, friends and extended family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with

our pastor, Phillip Enderle and his family.

Pastor Enderle's mother passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2009.

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."     John 14:1-4
