Lenten Services

The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Our 6:30pm Wednesday services will take on a Lenten theme from February 17th - March 24th. This year's sermon series is entitled "Let My People Go" and is based on the book of Exodus which describes God's deliverance for His people. Lenten services will gather in-person but will also be live-streamed to our Facebook page. Please join us as we focus on Christ and His Cross this Lent!

Mid-Winter Blues Fundraiser

We will be holding a fund-raising raffle to support our Sunday school and Vacation Bible School this February at St. Matthew. There will be several different themed packages of items to be raffled. Tickets will be on sale starting Sun, Feb 7th. The cost will be $2 each or 3 for $5. The prizes will be drawn on the four Sundays of March. Thank you for support of our Christian education ministries at St. Matthew!

Ignite Youth Schedule

The youth group will be meeting for Bible study and fellowship on Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in the youth room. This semester, the youth will be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month. Beginning on Sun, Jan. 24th, 2021, our new study topic will be "Explaining all the Scary Stuff in the Book of Revelation." Youth in grade 7 through college are welcome! Please direct any questions to Matt Kortbein or Pastor Kory.

Annual Meeting

St. Matthew's annual voter's meeting will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. During the annual meeting, the 2021 church spending plan will be presented and voted on, elections for several Board members will be held, and other business will be conducted as needed. Please join us for the annual meeting as you are able.

Sunday, December 20 - 9:15am - "Jesse Tree" Christmas Service (a service of Scripture readings and Christmas carols, focusing on Jesus' family tree)

Wednesday, December 23 - 6:30pm - Final Midweek Advent Service (Theme: "O Come, Dayspring")

Thursday, December 24 - 4:00 & 6:30pm Christmas Eve Candlelight Services (The 4:00pm service will be live-streamed to Facebook. Overflow seating for social distancing will be available in the Fellowship Hall.)

Friday, December 25 - 9:15am Christmas Day Service (Theme: "Emmanuel Has Come!")

Sunday, December 27 - 9:15am Service on the 1st Sunday of Christmas (Theme: "In Peace")

Please note: we will not have a Wednesday service on Weds, Dec 30.

Midweek Advent Services

Midweek Advent Services will be held on four Wednesdays in December, from Dec. 2nd - 23rd at 6:30 p.m. weekly. The theme for this year's Advent season at St. Matthew is "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."  Together, we'll be reflecting on the message of the classic Christmas carol by this name. You can participate in this year's Advent services either in-person or on Facebook.

Thanksgiving Eve Service

St. Matthew's Thanksgiving Eve service will be online only this year. The service will be posted to our website, Facebook page and YouTube channel on Weds, Nov 25 at Noon. Mr. Jason Nelson of our congregation shares an encouraging message for Thanksgiving this year, focusing on giving thanks for God's people blessings in our lives.
